One of the last ever videos of Liam Payne shows the singer at a Niall Horan concert just weeks before his tragic death.

It's been confirmed that last night (16 October), the 31-year-old former One Direction star died in Buenos Aires after falling from a third floor hotel room at the Casa Sur Hotel.

Statements from the police and ambulance services found that 'the injuries that he had suffered as a result of the fall proved to be fatal'.

They also said there was 'no possibility of resuscitating him'.

Photos taken last night show fans outside the hotel, having gathered behind the police cordon to pay tribute to the star.

Just days before his death, Payne attended his former 1D bandmate Horan's Buenos Aires tour where he was seen singing and dancing with girlfriend, influencer Kate Cassidy, 25.

Footage from the event shows the late singer waving his arm and singing along to Horan's lyrics while kissing his partner on the head.

Payne took to social media at the time to share a series of videos and photos from the Movistar Arena.

In one photo posted to Snapchat, Payne captioned a selfie with him and Horan with the words 'Reunited'.

Sky correspondent Daniel Henry has shared some more of the details surrounding Payne's death.

He said: "All of these details - very, very distressing for the family and friends of Liam Payne, who will be waking up this morning in disbelief that someone that they loved now is no longer with us."

Citing police statements, Henry shared that they had been called to the hotel after reports of 'an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol'.

"The autopsy obviously has not been completed yet, so at this stage, we don't know what, if anything, was in his system," he added.

"But as I say, the key thing here, just this loss of life; 31 years old, such a young age, and someone who is a father, leaving behind a young son."

Payne rose to fame after appearing on the X Factor back in 2010 when One Direction was formed.

Payne and Horan were also joined by the likes of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik in the band with the biggest hits including 'What Makes You Beautiful', 'Kiss You', 'Night Changes' and 'Best Song Ever'.

The band officially broke up in 2016.

In 2017, Payne released his very first solo single, titled 'Strip That Down'.

The singer was a dad to his son Bear, who he welcomed with ex Cheryl Tweedy (formally Cole) in 2017.
