Anyone that has grown up in a 'blended' family knows that navigating holidays and special occasions can often seem like an impossible task.

Divorced parents negotiating who gets Christmas or birthdays with their kids, or Father's/Mother's Day celebrations creating tension when there are multiple mums and dads involved. It can be tricky business.

This week, however, Kourtney Kardashian has found herself in hot water with fans, who've branded her 'disrespectful' for a snap she uploaded to Instagram on Father's Day.

For those unfamiliar with the Kardashian-Jenner brood's dramatic and often-turbulent relationship history, allow us to fill you in...

Eldest of the reality TV sisters, Kourtney previously enjoyed a long-term romance with US socialite Scott Disick, with whom she regularly appeared alongside on hit series Keeping Up With The Kardashians, as well as its subsequent spin-offs.

During their on-again-off-again relationship - which began in 2006 - they welcomed three children together, son Mason, 14, daughter Penelope, 11, and another son named Reign, nine.

In 2015, however, the pair eventually called it quits with Scott, 41, going on to briefly date Sofia Richie, and Kourtney, 45, marrying Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker, 47, in 2022.

Though Kourtney and Scott have seemingly remained on good terms as they co-parent their children - with him often still appearing on the family's TV series' alongside her sisters Kim, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie and mum Kris - she has since welcomed another child, a son named Rocky with Travis.

And with this weekend marking Kourtney and Travis' first Father's Day as parents together, she took to social media to share a rather gushy post about her man.

Uploading a series of snaps of Travis with their beautiful baby boy - as well as some sweet photographs of the drummer with his two children from a previous marriage - Kourtney captioned the post: "Happy Father’s Day @travisbarker !! "Beyond grateful for the Dad that you are to our baby boy, and all of our kids. "You keep us safe and protected and take care of us. Having a family with you is heaven. Happy to celebrate you!"

And though some followers have praised Kourtney for her heartwarming post, others have hit out at the star for seemingly paying no mind to her former flame Scott.

"I actually find this so disrespectful that you haven't included your other kids with Scott..." one commented. "He is the father of your 3 children incase you had forgotten about him and them."

Another went on: "Let's not forget Scott - he wasn't the best husband but regardless still the father of your children and he loves them."

A third penned: "Wait! What Scott is the father of your eldest children? He's a good dad too be nice to acknowledge that also."

Someone else wrote: "Way to exclude his other 3 children."

Tyla has contacted Kourtney's representatives for comment.
