Kim Kardashian has made a very bold joke about her stepdad Caitlyn Jenner's transition.

For those who need some brushing up on their Kar-Jen history, the 75-year-old reality TV star married 'momager' Kris back in 1991, becoming step-parent to Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob Kardashian.

They went on to have two daughters: Kendall Jenner, who was born in 1995 as well as Kylie, who was born two years later in 1997 before eventually separating in 2013.

The former married couple then finalised their divorce in March 2015 and, just the following month, Caitlyn publicly came out as a transgender woman in an interview with Diane Sawyer and later introduced herself as Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair in June 2015.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan have been very open with how they handled the adjustment with the latest update in the saga coming out just yesterday in the November 13th episode of The Kardashians.

In the episode, Kim, 45, reflected on the unique kind of 'pressure' that comes with working on a scripted show like All’s Fair compared to filming her family’s long-running reality series.

With acting, she explained, 'you can act, or you’re a bad actress', emphasising that the goal is to make viewers connect with a character.

Reality TV, however, as we know, requires people to like you and your real personality.

Kim added that reality show audiences also crave drama, which raises the stakes.

"If you’re excited that your life is finally together and calm," she said, "the viewer is p*ssed because it’s finally together and calm."

She then joked about how much the bar for drama has shifted over the years, referring to Caitlyn's 2015 transition: "It’s like, what happened to the days when your stepdad turns into a woman?

"That was TV gold."

Caitlyn previously opened up about the emotional reason she still gets called 'dad' by her daughters.

"My kids all call me dad, Kendall asked me first and I said 'dad', I'm your dad and I’ll always be your dad till the day I die," she said during her 2019 appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

Asked if she felt like a father to her children, Caitlyn then explained: "But what they’re really good at, which shocks me all the time, is when they’re talking about me, 'My dad she…' and it’s tough to change the pronoun in the middle of it.

"Bruce raised them and Caitlyn is enjoying their life with them."
