John Mellencamp has given a health update on his daughter Teddi Mellencamp, who's currently battling stage 4 cancer.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 44, was first diagnosed with melanoma back in 2022, and shared in April 2025 that the cancer had reached stage four and metastasized to her lungs and brain.
Teddi underwent surgery to remove several brain tumours in February 2025 and documented her radiation therapy journey, telling fans in October 2025 that she had no detectable cancer.
The American star said on her iHeartRadio podcast,' Two T’s in a Pod' at the time: "Just to give a little life update to you guys, I had my immunotherapy yesterday and they did my scans and at this point there is no detectable cancer.

"'I still need to be on immunotherapy for another year and I’m not considered in remission or anything like that."
She added: "When they told me, I was in such shock, I was numb. So I'm still going to be having days when I'm feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy, so I'm still fighting because you have to be.

"The way they [doctors] said it works, it's like one year, then two years, then at three years you're allowed to be considered … in remission. So, but that was huge news yesterday."

So, her dad's latest update, American singer-songwriter John, came as a surprise to fans.
The 74-year-old appeared on the latest episode of the 'Joe Rogan Experience' podcast on Wednesday (January 14) where he briefly mentioned Teddi.
He said: "I do have a daughter that’s really sick. It’s not f**king fun. She’s got cancer in the brain, and she’s suffering right now."
Today, Mellencamp gave a further update in a new interview with TODAY, explaining that he's looking to have Teddi and her three children move from her home in Los Angeles to their home state of Indiana while she undergoes further treatment.

As per the publication, he said: "I've tried to talk her into moving back home. I said, 'Move back to Indiana, bring the kids and just come back and live in Indiana,' but she won't do it."
When asked how Teddi is, he heartbreakingly responded with: "Suffering. You can't say you're cancer-free with the type of cancer she's got for three years. So she has lesions in her brain, it went from her back, just a little, teeny spot on her.

"Over the last couple years it grew, and it got inside her brain and her lungs."

He said that Teddi 'has good days' and 'feels good' until she undergoes immunotherapy treatment, and then she 'feels like hell for about four days' before 'feeling normal again'.
It comes after earlier this year, Teddi hit back at cruel criticism about her dating someone new and fostering a dog, amid her cancer diagnosis.
As per The Independent, she said on her podcast: "So people have been coming for me about fostering a dog, and they’ve been coming for me for dating. Like, 'the only thing she should be worried about right now are her kids and staying alive.'’’
She continued: "If I want to put myself in a situation where I’m staying busy so I’m not getting depressed, why have a problem with that? Clearly, I’m not going on dates while my kids are like sitting here looking up, waiting to hang out with me.

“[My doctor said] ‘I really don’t want you to think about your cancer as terminal. Just because that happened to somebody’s friend, aunt, brother, or cousin doesn’t mean that’s what’s happening to you. You don’t need to think like that. You should be going and having fun and trying to laugh.'"
