JLS star Aston Merrygold and wife Sarah announce they're expecting their third child

JLS singer Aston Merrygold and wife Sarah have just announced the latest news about their growing family.

The X Factor star, 35, and his wife, 39, who works as a dancer and choreographer, took to Instagram earlier this morning (29 September) to share with friends, family and fans the exciting news that they're expecting their third child together.

The couple, who got engaged on Christmas Eve back in 2017, have been together for 11 years now and already share five-year-old Grayson Jax and three-year-old Macaulay Shay.

The 'Beat Again' hit-maker captioned the post: "We have some news," and, in a follow-up comment, added: "Baby M3rrygold 2024."

The video featured their two childre,n as well as an at-home positive pregnancy test, photoshoot, baby scans and a whole montage of sweet family moments.

The video begins with Grayson and Macaulay sat on a sofa as they eagerly await the news.

Aston then walks into the room holding up a positive Clear Blue pregnancy test which he reveals to the camera.

The video then cuts to Sarah's pregnancy scan at hospital followed by Macaulay kissing a print out of the scan.

During the scan, one of their sons can be heard asking: "What is that noise?" to which someone replies: "The heartbeat."

The adorable video signed off with a message that spelled out the happy news to really hammer the point: "In case you missed it, we're having a baby."

Many celebs have since flooded in to share their reactions, with Rochelle Humes commenting: "Crying again!"

Fellow X Factor veteran, Cher Lloyd, penned: "Congratulations!!! Amazing news!!"

Alesha Dixon wrote: "We love you!!!"

Meanwhile, JB Gill added: "The best news EVER. Congratulations to you all! Big love from #TheGills."

Fans also rushed in to express their excitement with one praising: "OMGGGG congratulations guys - all the love and blessings in the world."

A second quipped: "And I’m crying again. Congratulations to you all. I’m so happy for you all,"

"Oh this is just the best new- huge congrats guy," added a third.

Aston and Sarah tied the knot last year, with Sarah telling OK! at the time: "The party was pure joy.

"I felt like I was just bouncing up and down for three hours. We didn’t even cut our cake until near the end."

The pair welcomed son Grayson Jax in early 2018 and then, just two years later in 2020, they welcome second son Macaulay Shay.
