Jennifer Garner has opened up about why she bit an actor’s ear once when on set.
In 2007, the 53-year-old Hollywood A-lister starred in the action-thriller flick, The Kingdom, alongside the likes of Jamie Foxx, Jason Bateman and Chris Cooper.
The movie follows an FBI agent who receives the assignment of his career when he is asked to assemble a team to capture the terrorist mastermind responsible for a deadly attack on Americans working in Saudi Arabia.
Garner, who plays Special Agent Janet Mayes in the film, recently opened up about what went down on set, which led to her biting an entire 'chunk' out of her co-star's ear in the first place.

Speaking at a press event for her Apple TV series, The Last Thing He Told Me, in Santa Monica on Tuesday (3 February), Garner recalled the fight sequence, which took a very unexpected turn.

During the panel, a clip from the programme played, featuring a uniformed man, portrayed by actor and stunt performer Sala Baker.
"Can I just say that the performer, Sal, the last time I fought him was in The Kingdom," Garner told the audience, referring to the film in which Baker played a kidnapper.
"Pete Berg, who was the director, told him to try to kill me. We did not have a lot of choreography, and he told me to do anything I could to survive," she recalled.
"He did, and I did, and I ended up scrambling onto his back. I bit his ear, and we have a picture of him missing a chunk of ear, because we were not kidding."
Garner and Baker have since reunited once again for another fight scene nearly 20 years on, this time inThe Last Thing He Told Me.

She continued: "We went for it in a way that the crew — this was maybe our first or second day of shooting — were like, 'Can you be careful with her?' I was like, ‘No, no, no, no, he’s not going to be careful.
"I’m not going to be careful. Just back out of the way. I have a score to settle here."
"And Sal was with us the entire season," she added. "So prepare yourselves."
Her admission clearly shocked the panel, alongside Garner's co-star, Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, who queries: "Can we just go over that again? You bit a piece of his ear off?"
"Like Mike Tyson," Garner responded.
In 1997, Tyson infamously bit the ear of his boxing opponent, Evander Holyfield, in the ring during their fight at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, leading to his disqualification in the third round.

"Why are you all looking as if this is a great thing? What is wrong with you people?" Coster-Waldau jokingly asked the audience, prompting Garner to joke: "Don’t make me mad. I seem nice. I’ve warned you before."
"Oh my god, no, I love you," the Game of Thrones star assured Garner.
Talk about an eventful day at work!
