I’m A Celeb’s Nigel Farage reveals he had ‘huge row’ with ITV bosses over show's rules

The politician was far from compliant

At long last, the King of the Jungle was finally crowned by Ant and Dec over the weekend (10 December) which finally put an end to all the camp drama, skin-crawling challenges and straight-up chaos we've been tuning into for the past few weeks.

Sam Thompson emerged as the victor, while the likes of runner-up Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage, who came in third place to the title, joined him in the final.

Since then, however, it has emerged that I’m A Celeb’s Nigel had a 'huge row' with ITV bosses over the show's rules and, let's just say, he was far from happy with the ordeal.

The whole thing came down to a matter of Nigel throwing a fit because producers had told him to keep his underwear on when showering - which he refused to do.

The former UKIP leader revealed to The Sun: "To be told to check yourself and to be told you must keep clean – and then to be told you can’t take your pants off in the shower struck me as contradictory.

"I had a huge row. I was told in the interest of taste and in respect for the cameramen and women that I shouldn’t be doing this. I said, 'Go to hell!'"

Nigel Farage finished in third place.

According to Nigel, leeches would 'crawl up your leg' and 'embed themselves in the warmest part of your body'.

He continued: "Sam did not shower naked and Sam did not check himself. Sam woke up one morning screaming – the leech was huge. It was on his a*** and the sleeping bag looked like a murder scene.

"So there were very good reasons [to be naked].

"Afterwards my other campmates did the same, four other blokes stripped naked."

Earlier in the series, we saw Frankie Dettori get voted off the programme who later spoke to The Sun where he opened up about a particular rule that was being broken by one of his campmates.

"We were told to keep our swimmers on!" Frankie told the publication. "The shower is miles away from the camp so we don't know what's going on.

"I am not going to go and spy on Nigel's butt!"

According to the outlet, Nigel had received a warning from producers about showering naked.

Nigel shocked viewers earlier in the series after being captured on camera with his fully bare bottom on display whilst showering at the creek.

This Morning presenter Josie Gibson was unlucky enough to have been walking past at the exact moment that Nigel was showering in the nude, exclaiming: "Frickin' hell!"

While Eastender's Danielle Harold called it a 'sight for sore eyes'.

The show's host Dec later joked: "Good job he didn't turn around, we might have seen the honourable member!"
