Danniella Westbrook’s estranged daughter, Jodie Jenkins, has opened up about her mum after blocking her on social media.

Last week, the 22-year-old shared with her 16.9k followers on Instagram a couple of snaps enjoying a nice meal and cocktail out when she was met with comments from people telling her to 'reach out' to her EastEnders star mum.

Jodie was quick to gracefully shut down the requests and opened up a little about the whole situation.

"Reach out to your mum. She loves and misses you," one person wrote, adding a red heart emoji. "Life is too short."

Directly responding to the comment, Jodie replied: "If you don’t know the situation please don’t comment thank you."

She also added: "You do not know my life or my situation. So please do not comment. Thank you."

Another comment on the same post echoed: "Reach out to your mother please, she has said happy birthday to you on her Instagram."

Jodie politely reiterated: "If you don’t know the situation please don’t comment thank you."

Other Instagram users also rushed to Jodie's defence with one writing: "Leave the girl alone. You have no idea about the family situation."

"Life is too short for toxic family who affect your mental health," penned a second. "Family isn't always blood."

A third echoed: "Leave the girl alone, you don’t know the situations and reasons behind it!"

"STOP," hit out a final Instagram user. "You do not know the trauma that has happened to bring them to this point, and it is hurtful to keep raising it, unless involved stop using that comment."

Just last week, the 49-year-old soap star and mum-of-two revealed that Jodie had blocked her and left her 'heartbroken'.

Danniella shared a series of photos of her daughter, who she shares with ex-husband Kevin Jenkins, telling her 125k followers: "With all my heart [sic], I miss my daughter."

"[I] miss so many things we shared. But after the beautiful birthday I arranged for her 21st last year. Within a month, I was once again with zero explanation cut out of her life.

"And it has broken my heart but I just hope she knows how proud I am to be her mother x And I love her always X."

In another post uploaded a day later, the actor - who has a history of substance abuse - shared a wedding photo of her family, cradling Jodie when she was a baby with the caption: "Happy 22nd birthday my beautiful Jodie b Jenkins xxx."

Danniella also shares a son, Kai, 26, with Kevin.
