One of Chris Hughes' friends has revealed the real 'reason' he broke down in tears after making an emotional admission about JoJo Siwa this week.
The former Love Island star, 32, and the American influencer, 21, have struck up an unlikely friendship on the show, however, some fans are seemingly confused over their relationship.
JoJo has been very open about her sexuality and having a partner back at home in the US - 27-year-old Kath Ebbs.

But with the Dance Moms star and Chris becoming increasingly close on the show - sleeping in beds together, giving each other massages, and writing secret notes on one another's hands - fans have been left confused.
In an episode earlier this week, Chris broke down in tears while speaking about their friendship, after some contestants accused them of 'playing the game'.
"I'm literally just in here being me, living," Chris said in the diary room.

"I hate f**king toxic stuff in life like I hate environments.
"It just brings you down."
His emotional outpour came after comments were made by Angellica Bell and Ella Rae Wise, after axed housemate Daley Thompson planted the seed in their minds.
Chris also suggested that Ella’s actions stemmed from jealousy, that she wasn't as close with him as the 21-year-old superstar is.

He said: "She isn't sweet on JoJo so there might be a jealousy thing there, I don't know.
"She likes to have her two pence worth and if she's out of a conversation, she wants to be in it."
Now, one of Chris' friends has claimed that 'Daley doesn't know what he's talking about'.

The friend told The Sun: "Daley doesn't know what he's talking about - apart from Love Island, Chris hasn't really done a reality show with a competitive element in seven years since leaving the villa.
"Having said that he is very competitive.
"But he is actually VERY sensitive.
"Yes, sometimes he does behave like a 16-year-old in a man's body and yes, sometimes he goes too far, but absolutely there is zero malice in the boy."

Viewers at home were divided over Chris' comments, but many sympathised with the 32-year-old.
One wrote: "I feel really sorry for Chris, JoJo is his Kem… What are the other housemates wanting him to do?"
While a second pointed out that he behaved in a similar way on Love Island by striking up a close friendship with Kem Cetinay, adding: "I feel so sorry for Chris. He’s been hated on and whispered about for coming in and making a FREIND there just jealous it’s the best friendship in the house. It is his personality look at Love Island."
