Cher fans have praised the singer after she revealed her ‘secret’ to defying age and looking youthful live on UK television.
On Monday (4 September), the 'If I Could Turn Back Time' hit-maker appeared alongside Good Morning Britain hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls via video link to discuss how she combats ageing.
Speaking about her personal style from her home in Malibu, Cher revealed: "I remember when my friend Paulette and I were talking about when we're going to cut our hair and stop wearing jeans because it seemed in those days that's what women did and it's not happened yet.
“I will be 80 at some point, sooner than I wish and I will still be wearing my jeans and I will still be wearing long hair and I will still be doing all the same stuff I've always done.”

In reply, Reid, who has recently cut her hair short, said: "I love the hanging on to long hair, I've literally just cut mine and now I feel should I regret it?"
Cher laughed and then urged the 52-year-old not to panic. Instead, she reassured Reid by stating that her locks would eventually, 'grow' back.
Elsewhere in the interview, the singer, who turned 77 earlier this year, told the ITV hosts that it isn’t exactly a fountain of youth that keeps her glowing.

Instead, she credited her mentality and being blessed with a stack of good genes.
When asked what her ‘secret’ to remaining youthful was, Cher stated: "Well, I don't know, genes in my family are pretty amazing.
“I don't know if not feeling old makes you younger, I'm not sure, I keep up with the trends and have lots of young friends, I have old friends too.
"I'm not trying to feel young, I'm not trying to be young, I am who I am."
Following the interview, fans have taken to social media to praise Cher and declare how ‘gorgeous’ she looked while live on air.
