Blake Lively's perfect response to Taylor Swift after she savagely trolls Ryan Reynolds

Just hours after Taylor Swift hit the headlines for sensationally roasting close friend Ryan Reynolds on Instagram, the actor's wife Blake Lively has now fired back with an equally iconic response.

Before we get into catching you up on this three-way social media tease, let us first emphasise that everything Taylor, Ryan, and Blake say to one another is said with love, with the trio having been joined at the hip since 2015.

In fact, Taylor, 34, feels so comfortable with Gossip Girl gal pal Blake, 36 - who she met after the latter appeared to promote her legendary 'Bad Blood' video online nine years ago - that she regularly pokes fun at the celebrity power couple.

And in keeping with that tradition, to Instagram today, the 'Cruel Summer' singer shared a snap alongside the duo, along with Aussie actor Hugh Jackman, to celebrate Ryan and Hugh's work on latest silver screen hit Deadpool & Wolverine, which was released in the UK today.

"Over the past few years I have watched one of my best friends on the planet pour every bit of his heart, soul, sweat, time, energy, jokes, pain, joy, rebellion, darkness and magic into this film," Taylor initially wrote, appearing to be heaping praise onto her BFF's husband Ryan.

"He's created the best work of his life, and this film feels like an actual portrayal of joy, a wild escape from reality, and an abs sandwich."

The hitmaker jokingly continued: "I don't know how he did it - but that's just Hugh for you!

"These other randoms crashed the photo and we were too polite to ask them to leave."

And whilst you might expect the musician's jest to have hit a nerve with 36-year-old Blake, the blonde beauty appears to have lapped up the social media exchange.

Sharing Taylor's message on her own profile, she added text, reading: "Thank you @taylorswift for honoring my guy(s).

"I couldn't have said it better myself. Which is unsurprising given than I have 14 less Grammys and not a single sold out stadium tour".

I mean, this is surely a social media interaction for the ages, no?

At the bottom of Taylor's original post, the 'Anti-Hero' star included a really heartwarming glimmer of some unknown news whilst comically slamming Ryan, 47.

Having seemingly formed part of the Reynolds-Lively family in recent years, especially since the couple welcome their four beautiful kids - daughters James, nine, Inez, seven, Betty, four, and 17-month-old toddler Olin - Taylor revealed just how close she's gotten to the brood.

And in her social media tribute to Ryan's blockbuster efforts, the musician took the opportunity to jestingly reveal that she's actually godmother to the duo's gorgeous youngsters.

Firing one more jibe at the actor by referring his character's name, she added: "Shout out to Wade Wilson, aka my godkids' sperm donor."
