Bianca Censori’s family break their silence after she exposes herself on Grammys red carpet next to Kanye West

One of the Aussie model's family members has spoken out about the controversial fashion statement

Bianca Censori and Kanye West shocked the world with their red carpet appearance at the Grammys on Sunday (2 February) and it seems the hype around the whole ordeal is yet to die down since.

The 30-year-old Aussie model opted for a totally see-through mini dress at the event, showing off her bare breasts and nether-regions while West - who she married in 2022 - went for a far more clothed option wearing an all-black t-shirt and trousers ensemble.

As we all know by now, there's been an avalanche of drama following the stunt - including false reports the couple were 'kicked out' of the Grammys, as well as fans questioning if Censori could face jail time for the statement ensemble.

And now, the latest update in the saga sees Censori’s family speaking out about the X-rated fashion statement.

Today (5 February), Censori's mum Alexandra opened up to the Daily Mail Australia about how the Censori family was 'just trying to continue life as best as it could outside of the spotlight'.

"We are just normal people, living our own lives as privately as we can," she reportedly told the outlet.

Declining to speak any further about her daughter, Alexandra added: "I have nothing to say about Bianca, thank you."

Alexandra's comments come after Censori's sister, Angelina, issued support for her following the major backlash.

Taking to Instagram on the night of the prestigious awards ceremony, the 20-year-old re-shared a now-viral video of Censori arriving onto the red carpet, where she did her big - and hotly-debated - reveal, indicating she was all for the outfit which has since caused a global stir online.

According to US Weekly, on the night in question, Angelina also commented on a post shared by West of the pair arriving at the awards.

Speaking out about the controversial look, the father-of-four reportedly penned a now-deleted tribute to his other-half, revealing the dress he chose was crafted exclusively for her.

It read: "Custom Couture Grammy dress for the most beautiful ever. My love, my best friend and my wife."

Angelina is said to have commented on her brother-in-law's most, sharing a fire emoji in the comments, showing her support.

While Angelina was seemingly a fan of her sister's bold fashion move - it's clear others raised concerns about Censori's outfit counting as 'public indecency'.

Now, California Penal Code 314 defines 'indecent exposure' as when someone: "1. Exposes his person, or the private parts thereof, in any public place, or in any place where there are present other persons to be offended or annoyed thereby ; or...

"2. Procures, counsels, or assists any person so to expose himself or take part in any model artist exhibition, or to make any other exhibition of himself to public view, or the view of any number of persons, such as is offensive to decency, or is adapted to excite to vicious or lewd thoughts or acts."

Indecent exposure can reportedly be punishable by up to six months in prison or a fine of up to $1,000.

However, according to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department said no formal complaints were made to the police about Censori's statement look.

The source also added that the Grammys is a private event and that West was an 'invited guest'.

Tyla has previously reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department for further comment.
