One Ariana Grande fan made a shockingly accurate prediction about her Oscars appearance weeks before the actual event and people are losing their minds over the 'insane' coincidence.

The 31-year-old Wicked star wowed on the red carpet before sitting down for the awards ceremony which saw her up for the Best Supporting Actress award for her role as Glinda the Good Witch in the hit musical adaptation, marking her first career Oscar nomination.

While Grande sadly didn't take home any awards on the night, it's clear she left a lasting impression on viewers at home with her stunning outfit choice.

She rocked a gorgeous champagne-coloured silk and sequin structured Schiaparelli gown that featured a silk bodice and diamond-dripping tutu skirt - something which one fan oddly predicted over a month before the event took place on Sunday (2 March)

They tweeted at the start of last month (1 February): "Need Ariana Grande to wear this to the oscars or else."

The post in question, which was a snap of a model wearing the Schiaparelli dress Grande donned to the 97th Academy Awards, has since gone viral on social media after racking up a staggering 12.9 million views.

"And that’s why I'm a fortune teller," the X user posted in a follow-up tweet prompting many others to share their reactions to the incredibly accurate fashion prediction.

One X user penned: "NO WAY YOU DID THAT!"

"Ohhhh you nailed it," praised a second while a third gushed: "This is insanneeeee!"

A fourth joked: "What if you didn’t actually guess, but she simply picked your idea after seeing your tweet about the dress?! Plot twist!!"

"This just goes to show celeb stylist look at fans input for inspo, that’s crazy they owe you a check at least," echoed a fifth.

Another chimed in: "When you manifest something so hard, the universe just listens."

And a final X user agreed: "The power of manifesting indeed!"

Other fans, however, couldn't help but point out the gown's uncanny resemblance to a lampshade.

One social media user declared: "It’s giving lampshade."

"Ariana Grande looks stunning but also a little bit like a lampshade," quipped a second, while a third echoed: "Liten Ariana Grande will look stunning in just abt anything but that Oscars dress looked like a lampshade let's not kid ourselves."

Another penned: "'Why did Ariana change' she was dressed as a lampshade trying to sit down y'all."

Someone else added: "I love this dress it’s def unique! I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it recently."
