Amanda Bynes has joined OnlyFans, but she's clarified exactly what type of content she'll be posting on the site.

Bynes, 39, took to her Instagram Stories to announce that she had joined the platform, but revealed she had signed up for one specific reason and explained that she won't be posting 'sleazy content'.

In case you didn't know, OnlyFans doesn't have to be used for sexually explicit content, with users free to post other content, too.

In fact, it has a number of other content creators who do far less X-rated stuff.

Bynes explained she joined the platform to chat with her fans, explaining: "Disclaimer: I'm doing onlyfans to chat with my fans through dm's. I won't be posting any sleazy content... Excited to join."

Bynes doesn't often make an appearance online, so it's expected the account will be popular with her fans, allowing them to learn more about her life.

You probably remember Bynes from movie hits including Hairspray, She's The Man, and Easy A.

In the years that followed, however, the star left Hollywood and was placed under a conservatorship by her parents in 2013 following her drug abuse and legal issues, TODAY reports.

Since then, Bynes has kept out of the spotlight. However, in 2014, she graduated from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with a degree in merchandise product development and in 2020, she revealed she'd underwent treatment for 'ongoing mental health issues'.

The star isn't the only one to be joining OnlyFans for reasons unrelated to sharing NSFW content.

The platform, which currently boasts more than 220 million registered users and over three million registered creators, recently welcomed Harry Potter star Jessie Cave.

Speaking on her Before We Break Up Again podcast, Cave - who starred as Ron Weasley's love interest, Lavender Brown, in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - explained her reasons for signing up, telling listeners: "I’m launching an OnlyFans, it’s not a sexual one.

"It’s a fetish. Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean sexual."

She revealed she would be leaning into the ASMR side of things as she will be offering paid subscribers 'the best quality hair sounds' and sharing 'very sensual stuff'.

In case you're not in the know, ASMR - which stands for 'Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response' - refers to a pleasant, tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine some people experience when watching and listening to videos with particular sounds.
