Everyone Is Raving About Jennifer Aniston's New Netflix Movie

A new Netflix movie starring Jennifer Aniston as a pushy mum and the charming daughter who challenges her preconceptions is receiving rave reviews from audiences.

Dumplin', based on the bestselling 2015 novel by Julie Murphy, follows the story of Rosie, played by Jennifer Aniston, a former Texas beauty queen and Willowdean her teenage daughter, played by Danielle Macdonald.

Willowdean loves Dolly Parton, lazy days at the pool with her conventionally-pretty best friend Ellen (Odeya Rush), and teasing the cute cook, Bo (Luke Benward), at her part-time waitressing job.

But as her monther, Rosie descends into pageant-season madness, Willowdean, the daughter she calls Dumplin' decides to act on her growing frustration with the size-ist preoccupations of their narrow-minded Southern town. And the only way she knows how is to enter the Miss Clover City sweepstakes herself.

Though she insists that she is "not the Joan of Arc of fat girls," her act of bravery encourages other unlikely candidates like proto-riot grrrl Hannah (Bex Taylor-Klaus), and Millie (Maddie Baillio), whose cheerful nature means she's always turned the other cheek to schoolyard bullies.

With the help of a kindly troupe of local drag performers led by platinum-wigged Lee (Harold Perrineau), the girls learn to love themselves and each other.

While Twitter users are loving it, some critics have been less enthusiastic claiming the film is 'boringly conventional'. Visit Netflix to judge for yourself.
