Jason Lewis - aka Smith Jerrod from Sex and the City - has just appeared on Australian telly, and we can't get over how different he looks.

In fact, he was almost unrecognisable. Check out a clip of the interview below:

Appearing on Channel Seven's The Morning Show, gone was Jason's long blonde locks, instead he was sporting slicked back brown hair and a moustache.

Chatting to hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies about why Sex and the City was so popular, he said: "I think it starts with the title, 'Sex'.

"Any good writing speaks for something we all experience and they did such a good job of doing that while keeping it funny and entertaining and sensational.

"But it was always something that was really heartfelt in each episode."

Sex and the City fans will remember Smith as the blonde haired Absolut Hunk who initially appeared on our screens as an aspiring actor and waiter who worked at Raw - the latest on trend restaurant Samantha had dragged the girls to one evening.

Back then he was named Jerry Jerrod, before Samantha made a beeline for him, and used her PR expertise to transform him into the 'Absolut Hunk' - aka the face of Absolut Vodka.

The pair started dating, with Smith becoming a famous movie star thanks to Samantha, and eventually - much to literally everyone's surprise - their relationship became serious.

Smith was there for Samantha during her breast cancer treatment - famously shaving his head when she decided to do the same - and the pair stuck it out for five years.

He even featured in the first Sex and the City film, but the pair ended up going their separate ways. It all became too much when Samantha covered her naked body in sushi as a Valentine's treat, but Smith ended up staying late at work.

"I love you, but I love me more," she told him.

In fact, Smith even appeared in the second movie, but only briefly and the pair didn't get back together, much to our upset.
