ITV drama Unforgotten is officially returning for a fourth season, and now the first trailer is here.

Yep, in case you had forgotten about the BAFTA-nominated series, (sorry) the trailer has dropped, teasing that Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar are back as DCI Cassie Stuart and DI Sunny Khan, facing a gripping new cold case which needs solving.

The show is landing on screens on Monday 22nd February, and ITV has promised the mysteries they face are set to push them to new limits, in particular one "emotionally-charged cold case murder".

The murder will show the pair uncovering a dissected body in a scrap metal yard, which has long since been left abandoned.

OG stars of the series like Alastair Mackenzie, Peter Egan, Carolina Main, Jordan Long and Lewis Reeves are also gracing our screens once more for the newest series.

Meanwhile, other famous faces include New Tricks actress Sheila Hancock, Killing Eve favourite Susan Lynch and EastEnders star Phaldut Sharma.

Peaky Blinders legend Andy Nyman will also be appearing in the show, alongside Little Boy Blue's Clare Calbraith, Lucy Speed and Ackley Bridge star Liz White.

Fans have been waiting for what feels like a lifetime for the fourth season of the hit drama, which was originally commissioned back in 2018.

The show finally entered production last January, but then Covid-19 got in the way, with filming being pulled to a halt just months later.

"I am so excited to be bringing back the Unforgotten team for a fourth series, as Cassie and Sunny take on perhaps their most challenging case to date," said writer Chris Lang, discussing the new season.

"Once again, we have assembled an astonishing cast, and I cannot wait to see how the very finest actors of their generation, start bringing my characters to life."

We cannot wait to see what Stuart and Khan are up to now!
