People Are Saying They 'Would Die' For The Cast Of 'The Circle’ US

People are going wild for this 'crazy' new show.

The Circle US started on New Year's Day and people are going mad for it on Twitter.

If you haven't caught up yet, the Netflix TV series is based on the original UK Channel 4 version - a social media experiment that sees a group of strangers move into the same block of apartments, who are only allowed to chat via The Circle (a sort of special social media) installed in their home.

They can never meet face-to-face unless the programme show runners instruct them to.

The aim of the show is to gain popularity in a bid to win $100k, but contestants are allowed to choose to play as themselves, or catfish the group and pose as anyone they want to be, whether it is a made up person, a sibling or a partner - whoever they think will be most popular.

The tagline of the show is: "How far would you go to be popular on social media?"

So far, it's making for a great watch and Twitter users agree.

One said: "#TheCircleUS is black mirror in the flesh. I'm so fu**ing entertained".

Another went one step further expressing how much they love the participants and commenting: "four episodes was not nearly enough. i would die for this cast #TheCircleUS".

A third added: "Just finished the next four episodes of @CircleNetflix! I don't think I have picked my jaw up off of the floor yet! Wow!!! @ChrisSapphire @joey_sasso @itsssammiee @thesilentceleb @SeaburnWilliam1 #TheCircleUS".

Another couldn't help but describe how mental the show is, saying: "It's like a fu**ed up brady bunch" #TheCircleUS".

The premise of the show is proving fascinating, with it giving a real insight into the online world of influencers as they compete to become them.

Those who have all the power as influencers can block their least favourite players - savage.

It really highlights what it's like to always be logged on, desperate for attention. It also draws attention to the major drawbacks of online life - as well as how easy it is to get caught up in your own lies.

But one contestant who doesn't need to worry too much about that is Joey Sasso, who is playing himself.

Whilst people weren't sure on him in episode one, eight episodes in he's a clear fan favourite.

One Twitter user said: "Joey and sammie will always be my OGs babyyyy#TheCircleUS".

Another added: "Awww Joey, he moved up more. He asked permission to kiss her. I knew he was putting up a front I told my husband he's probably the romantic type with girls in reality!#TheCircle".

A third commented on his hilarity: "Only on ep6 so I'm still avoiding everyone else's circle takes but Joey KILLED me with the "purple guy" stuff! #thecircle #TheCircleNetflix #thecircleus".

You can catch The Circle on the US Netflix now (sorry UK viewers this isn't available to you) before the final batch of four episodes is released on January 15th.

Just enough time to binge them all!
