‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 5’ Trailer Drops – And There’s A Sickening Twist
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5 trailer is here, and so is that *sickening* twist we promised you.
Yep, Shea Couleé, Miz Cracker, Jujubee, Ongina, Derrick Barry, Mayhem Miller, Alexis Mateo, Blair St. Clair, Mariah Balenciaga, and India Ferrah are all be taking another stab at winning the Drag Race crown and $100,000 dollars in the fifth season of All Stars.
But, it's not business as usual for the 10 queens, as Mama Ru reveals "the biggest shakeup in All Stars Herstory" during the brand new promo clip.
"The All Star rules have been suspended forever," she bellows, to the absolute shock and horror of the queens in her midst.
A narrator then reveals that one All Stars queen will be forced to compete for their legacy against a different guest 'lip sync assassin' each week - all of whom are also returning queens from previous series.
They'll just be back for the one performance, but they'll have one mission: to beat their All Stars competitor.
The week's top All Star will be sent to battle the lip sync legend for a chance to win a $10,000 tip, and the power to eliminate one of the bottom queens from the race.
But, most importantly, their reputation will be at stake, as they stand up to be counted amongst the best of the best.
So, if it wasn't hard enough battling each other, they've now got a whole load of guest competitors vying to outshine them, too! Yikes.
If they don't come out victorious, the $10,000 rolls over another week, and the bottom queen is voted out in a secret vote by all the safe contestants.
This sounds like it's going to get seriously b*tchy - and we're here for it henny!
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5 lands on VH1 on June 5th, one week after season 12 comes to an end.
While Netflix hasn't yet announced the exact UK launch date, they've revealed its landing next month, so, we could well see it landing on the same day, or not long afterwards.
The exciting news comes as fans are preparing to wave goodbye to drag race season 12 - for which the finale episode was filmed online as a result of the ongoing pandemic.
The contestants will be forced to compete in a virtual lip sync to win the crown, and prove their charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent is the brightest of all.
*So* much Drag Race excitement to get us through lockdown.
