'Orange Is The New Black' Is Returning To Netflix In July
The trailer for the seventh and final season of Orange Is The New Black just dropped, and it looks like its going to be amazing.
On Wednesday, Netflix released a teaser video which shows the cast singing the theme song on what appears to be a theatre set ahead of the new series release on July 26th.
Whether or not they're actually putting on a musical remains to be seen, but at the very least, it's set to make fans super emotional for the ending.
For six seasons, Orange is the New Black, based on a true story, has tackled some of the most difficult topics that women deal with. In the final season, the women of Litchfield will apparently "come to terms with the fact that prison has changed them forever."
We will see Piper struggling with life on the outside, while everyone's life on the inside goes on without her. Taystee's friendship with Cindy hangs in the balance and the kitchen staff struggle with Polycon's new profit stream while everyone else grapples with reality.
In October last year it was revealed the women's prison drama would come to an end in an emotional video featuring cast members like Uzo Aduba and Taylor Schilling, who promised it would go out with a bang.
Filming officially wrapped up in February, and the cast have been taking to social media to share heartfelt goodbyes to the cast and crew they've worked with for so many years.
OITNBI first launched back in 2013 and quickly became Netflix's most-streamed original series, earning 12 prime time Emmy nominations including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series.
The drama follows the lives of inmates at Litchfield Minimum Security Prison, before season six saw many of the characters moved to the Maximum Security Prison following a riot.
