Netflix users will now be able to stream series four of Peaky Blinders, as the season has just dropped onto the platform.

Peaky Blinders first announced the news on its own official Twitter account on Wednesday.

The tweet read: "The Americans have arrived. Series 4 of #PeakyBlinders, now available to watch on @NetflixUK."

Without giving too much away, the official BBC synopsis for series four reads: "It is 1924, Tommy Shelby is caught in a dangerous web of international intrigue as he battles with forces that threaten to split his family apart."

Other gangs launched attacks on Tommy and his family in series four, which also saw the deaths of some pretty major characters.

The first three series are already on the streaming giant's service, so you are in for a binge-watching treat.

Fans of the BBC gangster drama will now be able to ensure they are completely caught up on the previous series ahead of the next one being released.

Series five of Peaky Blinders is expected to begin airing on a weekly basis on BBC One at some point in the next year.

The cast of the Birmingham-based drama have been spotted out filming in Manchester in recent months, as well as teasing fans with behind-the-scenes snaps from the upcoming series.

The story will pick up after the financial stock market crash of 1929, and will focus on Tommy as he sets his sights on the British government.

The Beeb released a first look image of the series five in October.

Here's the official season five synopsis: "Series five of Steven Knight's crime family saga finds the world thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929.

"Opportunity and misfortune are everywhere. When Tommy Shelby MP (Cillian Murphy) is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realises that his response will affect not just his family's future but that of the entire nation."
