Netflix has just dropped a trailer for new show Cursed and it looks *so* good.

Starring 13 Reasons Why's Katherine Langford, the series is a re-imagination of the Arthurian legend told through the character Nimue, a young, gifted woman who is destined to become Lady of the Lake.

And if you're a Game of Thrones fan, it'll be right up your street. You can watch it below:

The new Netflix Original Series is based on the New York Times bestseller of the same name. In original Arthurian mythology, it is King Arthur who is associated with the magic sword (known as the Excalibur) but in Cursed, it is Nimue who must source it, in a bid to rebel against the Red Paladins, and King Uther.

In the trailer, we see a bloody battle ensue, with Nimue at the centre of it. She ends up finding a partner in Arthur (a humble mercenary) and together they set off in a quest to find Merlin.

The enchanting tale is also a coming-of-age story, combining ancient mythology with modern themes - terrorism, war and finding courage in impossible situations.

And if the trailer is anything to go by, it's going to be so gripping. It begins with Katherine Langford, face down on the ground and covered in blood.

"They took everything from us," she says. "Because magic runs through us."

Then, a very creepy voice can be heard saying: "Our wish, is for the extinction of magic."

There's a very impressive cast, too (

As well as an enchanting plot, there's also a pretty impressive cast. Alongside Katherine Langford, Devon Terrell (Ophelia) stars as Arthur, while Gustaf Skarsgård (Westworld) plays Merlin.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Armesto (Broadchurch, Poldark) stars as King Uther, Matt Stokoe (Jamestown, The Village) as Gawain, Lily Newmark (Sex Education) as Pym and Shalom Brune-Franklin (Our Girl) as Igraine.

Cursed was written by Tom Wheeler who told Entertainment Weekly: "Realising these characters from page to screen was a unique and thrilling creative challenge.

"[...] Led by Katherine Langford, who is equal parts classic hero and sword-swinging badass, this extraordinary cast has brought such depth, commitment, and heart to this story. We can't wait to introduce them to audiences around the world."

The series is 10 episodes long and will launch on Netflix on Friday 17th July. We've got it marked on our calendars...
