'IT Chapter Two' Is Being Made Into An Immersive Experience In London And We're Already Having Nightmares

'IT Chapter Two' Is Being Made Into An Immersive Experience In London And We're Already Having Nightmares

We've been watching the trailer on repeat to psyche ourselves up for the release of IT: Chapter Two this September, but apparently Stephen King's nightmare-worthy clown story is about to get even more terrifying.

An actual immersive experience based on the American author's horror novel will be landing in London very soon and we weren't prepared for this.

Set to coincide with the release of the sequel to the 2017 film, the free show will be running through the underground network of tunnels and rooms at The Vaults in Waterloo, bringing the terrifying story to life with a super-realistic set that's giving us the heebie jeebies just thinking about it.

If being scared out of your wits sounds like your idea of a great night out, the event, which runs for five says from 31st August - 4th September and is held 11,000 square feet underground, will immerse you in bespoke sets from the film that will be recreated with strobe lighting, flashing images and headphones, while guests will also get a sneak preview of some clips from the new movie.

While organisers are remaining tight-lipped on most of the details, we know there are nine different areas to explore, and we assume the world's scariest clown will be in attendance and OMG.

The sequel will continue to adapt the book and pick up with the Losers Club 27 years later, when they're all adults.

Directed by Andy Muschietti and starring James McAvoy as Bill, Jessica Chastain as Beverly, Bill Hader as Richie, Jay Ryan as Ben, James Ranson as Eddie, Andy Bean as Stanley, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike and Bill Skarsgard returning as Pennywise, the gang will return to Derry to thwart the clown once again.

With the first installment of the film remaining the most highly-grossing horror film of all time, raking in around £262,500,000 at the box office, we predict big things for IT Chapter Two and we'll most definitely be warming up for the premiere at the Waterloo experience.

See you there.
