Billie Piper's 'I Hate Suzie' Lands On Sky And Now TV This Thursday

Billie Piper's Sky drama I Hate Suzie lands on the channel this Thursday.

Yep, the much anticipated new show from the Doctor Who star is finally here a year after being announced, and it's not going to be one to miss.

In it, Billie will play celeb Suzie Pickles, whose life turned upside down as her phone is hacked.

The eight-part series will then tackle the hugely relevant topic of revenge porn, and focus on how Suzie grapples with the reality that an extremely compromising image of herself is no longer private.

She'll be forced to grapple to keep her life and career together, not to mention her marriage to her husband, Cob (Daniel Ings from The Crown).

In what has been billed an "excruciatingly honest" take on the issue, we'll follow Suzie's emotions as they range from shock to fear, to acceptance - and every emotion in-between.

Leila Farzad (Innocent) will also appear as Suzies as her best friend and manager, Naomi, while Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman) appears as Ben Detroit and Luke Franks (Worst Dates) stars as Raptor.

Co-created by Billie and Secret Diary Of A Call Girl writer Lucy Prebble, the show will take a look at how the digital age has amplified the issue of revenge porn, and the detrimental impact it can have on somebody's life.

In the trailer, we see Suzie as she's hit with the news of the hack, and watch her unconvincingly announce: "I just wanted to say that there were some photos posted online last week supposedly of me, stolen from me in some mass hack.

"I just want to say that, even though I have no issue with whatever it is that person is supposed to be doing in the photo, it's not me. No. So, don't w**k to lies, kids."

We then watch her emotional journey unfold, and little moments like a teary photoshoot and meetings with fans shrouded by fake smiles show that Suzie is struggling inside.

We later see her angry, distraught and looking unstable as she battles with what's happened to her, and even catch a glimpse of her covered in blood laying in a field.

But what happened for her to end up there?!

In a statement as the show was announced, Billie said: "We feel we've created something timely and not for the faint-hearted.

"If you too suffer with anxiety, shame, compulsive lying but like a laugh, please tune in at some point."

All episodes of I Hate Suzie are available to watch on Sky and NOW TV from Thursday 27th August.
