Bridgerton was all everyone could talk about earlier this year and now fans have just discovered a connection with another hugely popular series, Line of Duty.
Claudia Jessie - who plays Eloise in Netflix's period drama - also played DC Jodie Taylor in the fourth series of Line of Duty.
DC Jodie Taylor worked alongside DCI Roz Huntley (played by Thandiwe Newton) who was the main target of AC-12's investigation into bent coppers.
Fans of Line of Duty will remember that DC Jodie Taylor was completely invested with DCI Roz Huntley. She would often break the rules and protocol to protect her boss. Unlike her beloved character Eloise Bridgerton, many viewers thought DC Jodie was less favourable.
Claudia only played DC Jodie Taylor for on series back when series 4 aired in 2017.
Eagle-eyed fans of Line of Duty also noticed this week that the murder of Gail Vella was inspired by a real life crime. And it's a theory that seems to have been confirmed by the show's creator Jed Mercurio.
Viewers picked up on some uncanny resemblances to the murder of investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, who was killed in 2017 when a bomb was placed in her car, and it seems that the fictional Line of Duty murder is indeed based on this crime.
One fan wrote on Twitter: "@jed_mercurio been wondering, is #LOD6 somewhat inspired from the unresolved murder case of #DaphneCaruanaGalizia? My first hunch was the use of the Maltese surname #Vella. Also, same car model, similar journalism and similar potential motive!"

Jed responded: "The Gaffer has been complaining that none of the detectives out there had spotted this clue. He'll probably ask you to join AC-12."
In the world of Bridgerton, Netflix renewed the show for two more seasons this week. The news was confirmed in a letter from Lady Whistledown, just like the season 2 announcement and the sad confirmation of Regé-Jean Page's departure.
Season 2 will focus on Eloise's brother Anthony (played by Jonathan Bailey) in his quest for love.
