Netflix's racy new period drama Bridgerton is all the rage at the moment, with practically the whole world lusting after Rege-Jean Pagé's Duke of Hastings, and joining Eloise Bridgerton in her mission to track down Lady Whistledown.
But there's something else that caught some eagle eyed viewers' attention, too.
Upon closer inspection, it turns out the actress who stars as the matriarch of the Bridgerton family, Violet Bridgerton, has played another famous mother before.
Fans pointed out Ruth's past gig in Tracy Beaker's The Movie Of Me on Twitter as they binged the Netflix show, joking that the fictional orphan would feel vindicated that her mum actually was an actress, as she often claimed.

"The fact that Tracy Beaker's mum is in Bridgerton. She really was a famous actress after all, I knew Tracy wasn't lying," one wrote, sharing side-by-side shots of Ruth as violet and as Tracy's mum, Carly.
"I was waiting for someone else to notice this. The yelp I let out when I saw her face on my screen," another replied.
A third chipped in: "I was trying to think for so long what she has been in! Glad I'm not the only guilty one who used to watch Tracy beaker".
"Hilarious, the contrast in the shows mentioned makes it funnier," as a fellow Tracy fan quipped.
Bristol-born actress Ruth also starred in Fever Pitch and Utopia, and more recently appeared as Shirley Knottin Doc Martin and Gina Graham in Deep State.
But now many will forever know her as mother to Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor). Her character is a kindly widow who truly wants love for her eight children, but needs a little help teaching them sex-ed...
If you haven't watched Bridgerton yet, here's the 411. Based on Julia Quinn's bestselling novels, the scandalous series is produced by Scandal and Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes.
It follows Daphne - the eldest daughter of the Bridgerton family - as she navigates the 'marriage market' of 1813, and faces pressure to follow in her parent's footsteps and find a true love match.
As her older brother interferes with each and every one of her potential suitors, the mysterious narrator, Lady Whistledown (Julie Andrews) begins to cast aspersions on Daphne, which sees her become the topic of her scandalous high society newsletter.
After meeting Simon, Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) who is a committed bachelor, the pair strike a mutually beneficial deal to pretend to be engaged.
However, things take a steamy turn when sparks fly between the pair.
Queue a lot of x-rated scenes... (including one spoon licking moment we'll remember forever more.)
If you haven't watched Bridgerton we suggest you do so now.
Tracy did always say her mum was an actress, after all!
