Marvel fans rejoice - Kevin Feige has teased more Avengers movies in the future.

The last time audiences saw the Marvel heroes team up was in 2019's Endgame, which was the penultimate film released as part of Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film also marked the final onscreen appearances of Chris Evans as Captain America and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.

The films that are on Marvel's upcoming release slate include Black Widow, a fourth Thor film, Black Panther 2 and Eternals. Now, Kevin Feige has said fans can expect future Avengers movies.

"I would have to think so," he told IGN. "I would have to say yes, at some point."

He then joked: "It's a good title. Could use that."

In 2019, he also teased a fifth Avengers film following the release of Endgame. During an interview with MTV's Josh Horowitz, he said: "Yes. It will be a very different team than we've seen before. That's what Endgame was all about. It will be a very different incarnation of the team with some people you've already met and some you haven't met yet."

If you're expecting the next Avengers film any time soon, you'll be sadly disappointed. Feige hinted that fans could have to wait until Phase Five to see the new-look superhero crew.

He added: "Well it's what I love about the Marvel comic method of storytelling. That's not anything we invented, I love that things build up, they build to a crescendo, they all get together, they separate, they change.

"And now we get to do that, not just in movies but in these mega event series on Disney Plus, [which] has just invigorated all of us at Marvel Studios to keep going."

In other Phase 4-related news, there are several that are set to premiere later this year. As things currently stand, Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson, will be Marvel's next blockbuster on 7th May 2021.

Two months later Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be released on 9th July 2021. In the latter months of the year, Eternals, which was originally slated to be released in November 2020 will premiere 5th November 2021. Finally, the untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel will be out in time for Christmas on 17th December 2021.
