This Morning Viewers In Hysterics After Adele Tribute Act Forgets Lyrics

This Morning viewers have been left giggling after an Adele tribute act forgot the acclaimed singer's lyrics halfway through her performance.

Maria Herriott, 43, from London appeared on the ITV stalwart's couch o Friday to discuss how she underwent cosmetic surgery in order to look more like Adele, as the hitmaker released her first single in five years.

After sharing her transformation with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, which included a £11,000 gastric bypass, the impersonator belted out a few lines from Adele's new track Easy On Me - only to forgot the words seconds in.

Trying to help her out, presenter Alison jumped in with her rendition of the chorus, while Dermot sat there with his head in his hands.

Following the lyrical mishap, Maria said: "The thing is with Adele's music, she's so unique so when she does those...you really have to perfect that.

"So, I can't just come in and break into chorus and make myself look like a fool.

"You've had a couple of lines, nerves got me, Adele's probably laughing at me. Sorry to let you down."

To which Alison, 46, attempted to reassured her: "You absolutely didn't."

In light of the hilarity, fans of Adele and This Morning took to Twitter in their droves to giggles at Maria's mishap.

One penned: "Fake Adele forgetting the words to Adele's new song is amazing."

"Adele tribute forgetting the words is TV gold," another said.

A third posted: "I love the Adele impersonator on @thismorning she is absolutely hilarious .."

A viewer commented: "What...the...hell...was...that".

In other Adele news, Peppa Pig finally responded after Adele snubbed a fan's request for a duet.

Speaking on Capital FM Radio, Peppa said: "That made me really, really sad when you said you wouldn't collaborate with me. Why not? Don't you like me?"

Adele had the most hilarious response, adding: "Peppa, I've already said today that I regret it. I spent three years watching you and any time you want to go jumping in muddy puddles and sing in muddy puddles, I'm with you babes."
