Digital entertainment studio, Maze Theory, has announced plans to develop an epic gaming experience for Peaky Blinders fans.

The studio is set to create the action-packed game, 'Peaky Blinders - The King's Ransom' across PC, console and mobile and it will focus on the legendary Peaky Blinders characters, including Tommy Shelby, Arthur Shelby and Polly Gray.

Blurring the lines between the virtual world and real life, the epic game will also feature the show's iconic locations, such as The Garrison pub and Charlie's Yard.

Maze Theory first announced its plans last year but has now revealed its intentions to extend the game across multiple platforms.

And that's not all. There's also good news for Doctor Who fans, too.

The studio is expanding on its Doctor Who franchise, launching a PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Switch game as well as a mobile phone takeover which is being developed in partnership with Kaigan Games.

There'll be new adventures, fresh plots and a range of iconic features such as the TARDIS, Weeping Angels and imposing Daleks.

The expansion - as well as the Peaky Blinders game - is expected to kick off early next year.

Maze Theory CEO, Ian Hambleton said: "Maze Theory is evolving to the next level.

"We know from feedback that fans of shows like Doctor Who and Peaky Blinders crave new and exciting experiences across multiple devices and interwoven stories that create an overall experience far surpassing that of a single game.

"The world is facing challenging times right now, but the gaming sector continues to be resilient in times of economic uncertainty.

"These investments and our new content initiatives enable us to grow our fanbase and drive our business forward. We remain as committed as ever to delivering brilliant gaming experiences."

This can't come soon enough...
