Kate Ferdinand has been updating followers on her pregnancy, after announcing she's expecting her first baby with husband Rio Ferdinand last month.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Kate, 29, posted a selfie on her stories, explaining: "Unsure why I keep having photos touching my bump... but here I am doing it again."

The snap came after Kate opened up on her pregnancy last week, explaining why she had been so quiet on social media.

Sharing an image in her and Rio's home gym, she revealed she had been "exhausted".

"I've been pretty quiet on here recently. Honestly, I've just been so exhausted I don't know wether I'm coming or going," wrote Kate.

"How I've been feeling has been changing daily so I've found it hard to share anything because I don't really know how I feel myself... any other pregnant women feeling the same? Or am I losing my mind?"

Kate then went on to explain she'd received lots of questions about her workout routine and how it's changed since she became pregnant.

The former TOWIE star said it had taken her some time to get used to the fact she's growing "a little human" and to slow down.

"In regards to training I trained for the first eight weeks and then became absolutely exhausted, I really struggled with everything, I just felt sick tired and all over the place constantly... it was hard for my mind but I really had to listen to my body; rest & take it easy," she explained.

"When I say take it easy, I took it very easy there was lots of naps and not a lot of anything else."

Kate explained after 12 weeks she started to gradually feel better, adding in some Pilates and weight training.

"My mind feels so much better for it, for me the gym is like therapy it really does help me stay calm and less anxious," she added.

"Saying all of this, there are still days I feel absolutely wiped out, have terrible migraines and I do just go back to bed."

Kate and Rio announced the pregnancy in possibly the cutest way ever, after they filmed how Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, nine - reacted. And they were so excited.

In the clip, Kate starts by flicking through a photo album with pictures of them all as babies. Tate then turns the page, and reads a message. It says: "Now for the next chapter... Guess what?"

And it doesn't take long for the penny to drop, with the kids squealing with excitement. If you haven't yet watched it then you can do so below - it's an absolute must-see!

Since posting her pregnancy updates, Kate has received heaps of support from followers, with one writing: "Such an inspiration to women out there!"

While another said: "Totally normal feelings! I couldn't do anything from about 8-12 weeks as I was wiped out and had the worst headaches."

Just this morning, Kate posted again in her home gym, explaining she was "feeling good" after her morning workout.

We're so glad to see Kate's feeling better - keep the bump updates coming please!
