Stacey Solomon shocks fans with due date announcement

Stacey Solomon has left fans shocked after announcing her baby is due 'much sooner than we thought'.

The 33-year-old TV personality took to Instagram on Wednesday (28 December) to share the exciting announcement that she was expecting her fifth child.

Making the initial announcement, the TV personality posted a video of a positive pregnancy test, with her breaking the news to her husband Joe Swash.

During the heartwarming video, the star films her positive pregnancy test before calling for Swash to join her in the bathroom.

Swash jokingly asks if Solomon is 'going for a poo', but quickly realises what she is holding in her hand.

He instantly asks if she is joking, with a massive grin on his face.

At the end of the clip, you can hear Swash saying 'this is the best news'.

Just a couple of days after breaking the big news, the Loose Women host has updated fans on her due date - and it's much sooner than many were expecting.

"Coming soon… Much sooner than we thought When we found out we still wanted to have that first few months you usually would to adjust and get excited and enjoy it to ourselves, but that didn’t leave us with very long left," she began.

"So this time next month we will be getting ready to say hello to a whole new pickle.

"So grateful While we had some time off we thought we better take some memories before it’s too late. @chelseawhitephotog ©️ who took our wedding pictures took these photos for us. Happy Friday Everyone."

The former X-Factor star was flooded with messages of congratulations following her latest post.

"Wow that’s amazing news congratulations," wrote YouTuber Sarah Conder.

"You were just made to be a mum and it makes me so happy to know another lil baby will get to have you guys as a family," added musician Talia Mar.

Meanwhile, one fan gushed: "Absolutely gorgeous stace!! I'm so happy for you all!!," while another said: "Oh I love that this has been your little secret."

Earlier on today, the star thanked fans for all their support following her pregnancy news.

"Hello everyone, I just wanted to come on here and say thank you for all your lovely messages," she said on her Instagram Story.

"Your comments and everything, I've been reading through them, they're just so nice.

"Sorry I've been so quiet I've just been trying to spend as much time as possible with this lot,

"'So me and Joe got a couple of days off for Christmas and New Years, and we just try and give them loads of attention but I just wanted to say thank you so much - you're honestly so lovely and so kind."

Solomon has four children; Rose Opal Esmè Solomon-Swash who is one, and Rex Toby Francis Swash, three, with Swash.

She's also mum to Leighton Barham who is 10, and Zachary Solomon, 14, from previous relationships.
