A Miss World contestant has revealed she doesn’t regret her nude Playboy photos, even after her young children found the magazines.

Model Rosanna Davison, 38, became the first Irish woman to pose for Playboy just under 10 years ago, having featured in both the American and German versions of the infamous magazine.

Speaking to Angela Scanlon during an episode of RTÉ One’s Ask Me Anything, Davison said she felt ‘grateful’ for the opportunity, but admitted her brothers didn’t take it too well.

However, the former Miss World has no regrets about the images, which even her now-husband Wes Quirke was supportive of.

She said: “How life has changed. I'm grateful I did it.”

The mother-of-three also spoke about what it was like in the mansion, saying she had a ‘peek around’.

Davison recalled: "It was in 2013, do you know it was cosy and homely.

"Because my German Playboy spread had gone into the American Playboy in 2013 Hugh Hefner invited me along.

"We had dinner, not just me and him, there was a group of people there, and we watched a black and white movie in his home cinema."

She added: “I did have a peek around, I was very nosy. There were a few pictures of boobs on the walls, I will say that.”

Davison, who was crowned Miss World back in 2003, explained that her family were generally very ‘encouraging’ about the Playboy op, but that her two younger brothers found it tough after being inundated by messages from their mates.

“They were very encouraging, but it was my two younger brothers,” she explained.

“My poor brothers were tormented by their friends texting pics and so on.

“My now-husband Wes, we weren’t even engaged at that stage, was very encouraging.”

Davison also revealed that her kids found her stash of the German Playboy magazines that she featured on the cover of, but that they ripped them up.

"I forgot they were there... thankfully they didn't recognise me,” Davison said.

When asked about the Celtic Tiger years – a nickname for Ireland’s economic boom between 1995 and 2007 – she added: "There were a couple of years when I was 21/22 when there was a lot going on.

"All the parties and the events, and Krystle [nightclub] opened around then so yeah, there was a lot of nights out. But then we all know what happened and it came to a halt."
