Michelle Keegan has been celebrating the return of a pooch that was stolen from a garden in Essex 18 months ago.
Cocker spaniel Brandy was taken from her owner's garden in Essex back in 2021, with thieves stealing the pup in 'broad daylight'.
Michelle, 35, who is a dog owner herself, had been helping raise awareness of Brandy at the time, re-sharing posts and pleas from the little one's owners.
In what people are calling a Christmas miracle, the dog has now been found safe and well and has been reunited with her delighted owners.
"Amazing news! She's now home and safe where she should be," Michelle wrote on social media.
"Sending love to Brandy and your family... Merry Christmas."
Missing Pets GB also thanked the actress for all her help, writing: "THANK YOU for you help!!! As of 2am this morning Brandy was retrieved by her family. 18 months ago she was stolen from her garden, today she is home safe."
At the time, Brandy's owners shared a post explaining that their beloved pup had been stolen from their back garden.
They said: "My female cocker spaniel was stolen from my garden on Friday 2nd April 2021 at around 1:45pm in the Abridge, Essex area.
"I am still devastated that Brandy has not yet been returned!
"I would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has commented, liked and shared my story, I really appreciate everyone's support and help in trying to get my baby back to me!"
Resharing the post, Michelle said: "This gorgeous dog was stolen in broad daylight from her owners garden... it's just DISGUSTING."
Michelle and husband Mark Wright have two dogs - a chihuahua and a dachshund who regularly appear on their social media accounts.
And followers who had heard about Brandy's family's pleas were overjoyed to hear the news that the pooch had been reunited.
One wrote: "Absolutely brilliant news what a Christmas miracle so happy Brandy is safe at home."
While another said: "Hope we get to see some photos of her being reunited with her family."
And a third added: "Poor baby has been through so much I’m sure. So glad she’s gone with her people."
A fourth said: "Wow! What fantastic news. So happy for her family and for Brandy. God knows what she’s been through. Poor little soul. It’s a very merry Christmas for them all."
