Married At First Sight fans are convinced Jesse Burford and Janelle Han are dating

Married At First Sight Australia stars Jesse Burford and Janelle Han have fans absolutely convinced that they're dating.

Between gushing interviews about each other and super cozy Instagram photos, all the signs are there, but the two MAFS singletons aren't giving anything away.

For those who might need a brief recap; Jesse and Janelle were not originally paired together - but they did wind up bonding over some shared trauma.

You see, early on in the experiment, Jesse's wife Claire Nomarhas and Janelle's husband Adam Seed shared a secret kiss that made for some explosive drama.

At first, when Jesse had his suspicions, Claire and Adam outright denied the infidelity, accusing Jesse of being paranoid. And Janelle was more than happy to stand by Adam and trust him implicitly.

But just a few episodes later, Claire could no longer cope with the guilt and confessed everything to Jesse.

While a heartbroken Janelle ended things with Adam right away, Jesse tried to give Claire another chance, but struggled to fully trust her again, sending all four contestants home single.

Since leaving the show, though, Jesse and Claire have done everything to hint that they've been seeing each other - except confirm it - and it's driving fans crazy.

For example, when the MAFS gang got to their Instagram accounts back, Jesse shared some photos from Falls Music Festival, which he attended with Janelle and married couple Ollie Skelton and Tahnee Cook. Can you say double date?

Just to push the fans even further, Janelle said in an interview with the Back to Reality podcast that she and Jesse had 'trauma bonded' and even shared a cheeky kiss.

"There was a moment before I left for Sydney that me and Jesse were hanging out heaps, it was at the peak of when the cheating scandal came out and potentially [it was] a trauma bond but we grew very close and we did share one peck," Janelle spilled.

"There was a period where we both definitely liked each other, I was drunk one night and I told him that I had a low-key crush on him.

"But he's been pretty vocal that I am his type as well, so it wasn't weird territory."

Though, at the time, she insisted that they didn't take things any further, since Jesse was based in Perth and she was in Sydney.

Meanwhile, in a new interview with Daily Mail Australia, Jesse hinted that there might be more to the story than that, and they had originally planned to walk into the MAFS reunion as a couple.

"Janelle and I were going to walk in together as a prank and get everyone," he revealed.

"Because how funny [would it be] - Adam and Claire both cheat on us and then bang, me and Janelle walk in together - but production didn't want it.

"We thought that was a head-turning idea… [but] they were like, 'Nah, don't want it.' Cancelled it."

As cute as that would have been, Jesse went on to insist that, although they have 'the strongest connection', he and Janelle 'are just friends'.

Heartbreak.
