Married at First Sight stars Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James have confirmed they are dating, after months of rumours surrounding the pair being together.

The couple were actually not matched together on this year’s season of the reality show, with both failing to find love with their respective partners.

Evelyn and Duncan were recently pictured kissing and cuddling on a date night in Sydney, and have now finally gone public with their romance in a new interview with Nine.

The couple spilt the tea on their newfound relationship as part of an 'Honesty Box' challenge.

The first question lifted from the box was: "Are you in a relationship?"

"Yes I am!" Duncan said without any hesitation, before adding: "Well yes, we are."

"We are in a relationship. This is [our] hard launch," Evelyn told the Aussie site.

"It feels good to finally just say it and it feels kind of exhilarating in a weird, freeing way."

Duncan said the pair had been hanging out a lot together as friends before romantic feelings started to fall in place.

"Yeah, it's a weight off the shoulders. We started hanging out a little bit after the show.

"Everyone's sort of friends in the cast, and obviously me and you living in Sydney we probably hung out a little bit more.

"All of a sudden we went out on a couple of nights, and some of the warm fuzzy feelings happened in my stomach and I thought, 'What's this? How we going here?'

"Then... one thing led to another," he said.

Yahoo Lifestyle first reported last month the pair were 'seeing each other' and had even gone on several romantic dates.

Obviously, the whole point of Married at First Sight is to find love, and I suppose Evelyn and Duncan did, but just not in the way the show's producers would have wanted.

They were questioned on how their previous bride and grooms feel about them being together, and the answer is a little unexpected.

"We have been welcomed as a couple in the most positive way," Evelyn responded.

"Obviously [we] gave Rupert a call as well, and got the blessing from Rupert! He was very supportive as well," Duncan added.

Now the news is out, the couple are looking forward to more dates without having to be so discreet.

"That's the part I'm really looking forward to once we've come out and said that we're in a relationship," Duncan told Nine.
