Marnie Simpson Reveals How To Pronounce Baby Boy's Name

Now it all makes sense!

Marnie Simpson has explained to fans how her newborn son's name is correctly pronounced after welcoming baby Oax Rubi Johnson just last week.

The Geordie Shore star announced the incredible news on Wednesday, 18th May, informing her 4.8 million followers that her baby boy had 'arrived safe and sound'.

But after sharing her son's unique name online, some of Marnie's fans were left wondering how exactly 'Oax' is pronounced.

During a recent Q&A session with her followers, Marnie explained once and for all how people should say her son's name.

Among the questions that rolled in for the former reality star, one fan asked: "How do you pronounce Oax's name? Such a beautiful boy."

The mum of two replied: "Pronounced - OAKS".

That settles it!

Elsewhere in the fan Q&A, Marnie detailed how her two-year-old son Rox was coping with becoming a big brother and moving house in the space of a year.

She revealed: "I think he's coped great. He absolutely loves Oax and he's going to be the best big brother, it's been hard feeling restricted from Rox during my recovery, I can't wait to be able to life him again."

Asked how she came up with her sons' unique names, she explained: "I searched and searched and searched for the entire 9 months for both names and these were the only 2 me and Casey [Marnie's fiancée] could agree on. Rox was almost Cole. Oax was almost Phoenix."

Marnie told fans that Rox was already a fantastic big brother.

Marnie announced her second pregnancy in November 2021 with fiancée Casey Johnson, who she also shares Rox with.

The couple first met back in 2017 on MTV show Single AF and had been dating ever since.

Casey proposed to Marnie in 2020 and - after postponing their wedding due to the pandemic - the couple hope to tie the knot in the summer.

Marnie left Geordie Shore back in 2018 and confirmed her permanent departure on Twitter. “For everyone [who keeps] asking, I have in fact permanently left Geordie Shore,” she wrote after five years on the show."

Speaking to new! magazine when she was 13 weeks along in her pregnancy, the TV star said: "We’re so excited and super happy. It was a bit of a shock but we’re just so thrilled!"

After a difficult birth with Rox in 2019, Marnie shared that she was advised to have a planned C-section for Oax.

She told her fans: "It was amazing but recovery isn't easy at all, much harder when I have toddler who doesn't understand I've been cut open!"

We're wishing Marnie a speedy recovery!
