'Big Energy' rapper Latto has hit back at trolls accusing her of photoshopping the crowd at her Coachella performance.

As you can see here, Latto - real name Alyssa Michelle Stephens - had an absolutely huge turnout for her set on Sunday afternoon:

So it was a little strange when the singer posted a photo from Coachella to Twitter that had multiple people in the crowd appear twice.

At first glance, the photo below looks like there's nothing wrong.

But when you look a little closer, particularly on the right hand side of the photo, you'll notice that a few faces are duplicated and that the speaker in the bottom corner has been cut off.

When people noticed the strange edit, they took to Twitter to call out Latto for trying to make the crowd appear bigger even though - as we just saw - the crowd was huge already.

"Photoshopping your fans is a new low," wrote one follower.

"I love Latto but the photoshop evidence looking real," tweeted a second, while a third commented: "I’m crying cuz she really photoshopped the crowd."

But something wasn't adding up.

Why, if she had an enormous crowd that went all the way outside, would Latto decide to photoshop her crowd?

And why was it just a couple of faces on the right hand side? It didn't make any sense.

But Latto was quick to clear up the rumours and explain what really happened with the photo.

Posting to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday (18 April) after the edited pic went viral, Latto put an end to the drama.

The 'B**tch from Da Souf' singer explained that she had tried to expand the original photo so that nothing would get cut off when she posted it to socials, but it glitched so she decided not to use it - then accidentally posted the glitch photo to Twitter anyway.

She wrote: "Never photoshopped a crowd lmao I expanded it so it would fit in my Instagram swipe without getting cut off but it was clearly f**ked up so I didn't end up using it & just posted the wrong version by accident on Twitter babes. Next."

That makes SO much more sense.

Latto will return to the desert in a few days for weekend two of Coachella festival, alongside acts like Calvin Harris, Bad Bunny, BlackPink, Rosalia, Gorillaz, Burna Boy, Charli XCX, and Wet Leg.

Hopefully she gets her photo editing skills sorted before then!
