Ciara has responded to the controversy over her Oscars after-party dress.

The singer rocked up to the Vanity Fair after-party wearing a sheer dress that didn't leave much to the imagination, and now she's mocked those who had a problem with it.

The 37-year-old turned a lot of heads at the annual afterparty when she pulled up in a mesh sequinned dress, wearing nothing but a thong and nipple covers underneath.

It was one hell of a look, but of course, people with nothing better to do on social media took swipes at it, describing it as desperate, lacking in class, and disrespectful to her husband, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson.

It was a strong look - though some people weren't impressed by it.

One person wrote: "So Ciara wore this dress to the Oscars. But with the Oscars being what it is, should we be surprised?

"I do wonder how Russell really feels though, with seeing his wife in public like this. What happened to having 'class'?"

Another said: "I thought Ciara is married with kids? Abeg where's her husband Russell when she wore this dress?"

I mean, he was standing right next to her, but whatever.

While another wrote: "Eww Russel Wilson's wife Ciara's dumb trashy Oscar dress with her a** exposed.

"No matter how sexy you think your ass is, you're a mom. Cover it. It's the Oscars not the beach. Be like Liz Taylor. Classy is better."

Thankfully, it seems these criticisms were water off a duck's back for Ciara.

She posted a video on TikTok in which she can be seen posing in a bed sheet, with the text reading: "POV: How I'm pulling up to Vanity Fair next year."

Captioning the clip, she added 'Selective Outrage' - which is the name of Chris Rock's new Netflix comedy special.

She poked fun at the haters.

The p**s-taking video has been viewed more than 800,000 times, with fans praising her for the retort.

One viewer wrote: "Ciara reminding the masses, that she's that girl, always been that girl and will forever be THAT GIRL! My Queen purrrr."

Another said: "Get em Cici... People tripping for no reason. you looked absolutely amazing."

A third added: "The sheer prettiness of this is just.......Refreshing!!! I love it and am here for it."
