Adele shares hilarious way her ‘well-spoken’ son corrects her accent

Adele shares hilarious way her ‘well-spoken’ son corrects her accent

Adele’s unmistakable London accent is almost as iconic as her singing voice

Adele’s unmistakable London accent is almost as iconic as her singing voice, and the star recently revealed that her ten-year-old son Angelo sounds just like her - despite going to school in the US.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, Adele - who is notoriously private when it comes to her little boy - shared a rare insight into his life, and it was so sweet.

Adele revealed that Angelo often corrects her when she mispronounces words. See what she had to say below:

The conversation started when Graham pointed out: “You’ve never lost your accent, I mean you’ve been in America a while now."

Adele replied: “Yeah I’ve been there for a while now for sure. No, I don’t know, it’s never… no."

Graham then asked: “And is it true Angelo picks you up on the way you say things?”, to which the hit-maker responded: “He does, but Angelo sounds just like me.”

She continued: “Obviously the whole time I’ve been there [in America] he’s been there, and he goes to school with American kids and sounds like me.

“I kind of correct him a lot as well, like, ‘that’s not how you say it,’ but yeah he does.

“On the word ‘three’ [Adele pronounces it like the adjective ‘free’], he’s like, ‘it’s not free, it’s three’. He’s a little bit more well spoken than me.”

In other Adele news, it was only a few weeks ago that people learned the star’s actual name - and needless to say, jaws hit the floor.

Back in October, many people took to social media to reveal they had no idea the star’s name was Adele Laurie Blue Adkins.

To be fair, the Rolling In The Deep crooner has always been known by her first name alone, so we can see why it surprised some fans.

Adele's surname is the same as her mum's Penny Adkins - who single-handedly raised the global superstar when she grew up - while Laurie and Blue are her middle names.

One person wrote on Twitter: "I just found out Adele's full name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins," while another said: "I just found out that Adele's name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins omg."

A third wrote: "I looked up what Adele’s full given name is and it’s 'Adele Laurie Blue Adkins'. Why does that feel extremely correct?"

A fourth chimed in: "Just searched up Adele on Google and found out her real name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, cute."
