Katie Price says nine-year-old son Jett hasn't attended school in nine months

Katie Price says nine-year-old son Jett hasn't attended school in nine months

She shares her youngest child with ex Kieran Hayler

Katie Price said her nine-year-old son Jett hasn’t been to school in nine months, having hosted a live Q&A with fans on TikTok.

Price, 45, is mum to Harvey, 20, whose dad is footballer Dwight Yorke, and Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, who she shares with ex-husband Peter Andre.

Her two youngest kids Bunny, eight, and Jett, nine, are from her former relationship with Kieran Hayler.

Price held a TikTok Q&A recently so fans could put some questions to her, during which she revealed that one of her kids hadn’t attended school for nine months.

However, she stressed that he’s still receiving a solid education, having turned to homeschooling instead.

When a fan asked how Jett was, Price replied: "Jett is good. He hasn't been to school for nine months, so he has homeschooling at the moment."

Back in January, the star had posted a selfie with Jett - who she said was 'dealing with so much', but did not offer any further details.

She wrote in the caption: "My precious little boy Jett is dealing with so much at the moment and it’s times like this when I make him feel safe loved and protected and help him get through everything.

"I love him so much our bond is incredible."

Price isn’t the only famous mum to have tried homeschooling over tradition school education, with Stacey Solomon previously explaining why she had done the same with two eldest sons Zachary and Leighton.

The former model said Jett hasn't been to school for nine months.

Writing about the topic back in 2018, she said: “When Zachary was halfway through Year Two he began to lose some of my favourite parts of his personality. Before that, he was often cheeky and making jokes, he never worried what people thought of him.

"He was a happy-go-lucky child, always inquisitive and wanting to know EVERYTHING about everything... He became very quiet and a little sad."

She added: "Homeschooling has always been at the back of my mind, because whenever I am with the boys and we are out in different environments their senses heighten and their enthusiasm to learn is at its best."

In another live video recently - this time on Instagram - Price launched into a furious rant after one of her followers said she shouldn’t be allowed to own animals.

Sadly, her pet dog Blade recently died after being hit by a car, becoming the eighth animal to die in Price’s home over the past few years.

She also lost her Pomeranian, Sharon, in November after it escaped onto a busy road and was struck by a car – a similar fate that also met Alsatians Sparkle in 2020 and Queenie in 2018.

In July 2020, puppy Rolo died just three weeks after being given to Price's daughter Princess as a gift for her 13th birthday, having passed away from suffocation.

While taking them on a tour around her house, Price told followers that the RSPCA had been to her home and deemed it suitable for animals.

She said: "Who said I shouldn’t have animals? Tell me why I shouldn’t have animals? Tell me why? I’m going to prove you f**kers wrong who say and believe everything.

"It’s like my driving licence someone says I shouldn’t drive for medical reasons, someone from the public said it and I proved them wrong. I had the RSPCA out and they ticked every box to say my animals are healthy - they ticked every box."
