This Is Us Final Season Is Coming To Disney Plus For UK Fans

While fans of This Is Us are still devastated after learning that the show is coming to an end next year, we have come good news.

The upcoming sixth and final season of the multi-generational family drama will debut on Disney+ next week.

Season six starts airing in the UK on Thursday 6^th January, only two days after its premiere in the US.

And there’s even more great news for hardcore fans and those who have wanted to watch the critically acclaimed series. All five previous seasons will launch on Disney+ on the same day season six debuts.

When This Is Us premiered in the UK back in 2016, the show aired on Channel 4. The first two seasons were shown on Channel 4 and More4 respectively.

Amazon Prime then became the streaming home for This Is Us after the series was dropped by Channel 4. Amazon subscribers will still be able to stream the season six as well as on Disney+.

In case you haven’t seen the series, This Is Us follows the life of the Pearson family across different decades including parents Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and their three children Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown).

The series jumps between different time periods and series creator and executive producer Dan Fogelman said the second half of season six is “incredibly” complex.

He told Deadline: “It involves a lot of movement, a lot of travel, a lot of time jumping and we haven’t quite gotten to the filming of that yet. We’re bracing for impact a little bit right now.”

He also teased some of the new storylines fans can look forward to in the future, including the end of Kate and Toby’s (Chris Sullivan) marriage and Kate’s future beau Phillip (Chris Geere).

Kate’s future relationship was teased at the end of season five and it left fans shook. Fans will have to wait a little while to get answers.

“We’re all going to have to be patient, but they will get answered,” Fogelman explained. “It will be a slow burn, and it will be well worth it.”

This Is Us will be available to stream on Disney+ in the UK from 6^th January 2022.

Season six premieres in the US on 4^th January 2022 on NBC at 9pm ET.
