It’s been a long two months glued to our tellies as the MAFS UK drama unfolded in front of our eyes.
Last night (16 November) saw the end of the road for the love starved hopefuls as only three MAFS couples made it out alive.
Fan favourites, Tasha Jay and Paul Liba, intruders Erica Roberts and Jordan Gayle, and the ones no one thought would make it, Peggy Lawrence and Georges Berthonneau, were the only ones who committed to each other in the final ceremonies who are still together now.

After last night’s final reunion, Tasha and Ella Morgan – with the latter not committing to beau JJ Slater in the final vows after they left their original partners to be with each other - took to Instagram Live to answer questions from fans and reflect on the final episodes.
Joined by Luke Worley - who was forced to leave the show early after an altercation with cast mates Erica and Jordan - revealed that if they never joined the show, he and Jay Howard would still be together. Huh?!
Erica and Jordan joined the MAFS line up as ‘intruders’, entering the experiment a few weeks after everyone else.

With the couple’s arrival, a feud quickly sparked between Luke and Jordan which, in Luke’s eyes, added to the reason why he and wife Jay didn’t make it as a couple.
Joining the Instagram Live, Luke joked that ‘he had been crying all night’ after watching the final episode air.
“How did you find it went?” Ella asked Luke as he revealed his thoughts on the show.
“It was a tough watch, but I knew it would go like that.”

Reassuring him that she didn’t think he said ‘anything bad’, Ella shared that the ‘one thing’ she felt could be seen as ‘bad’ watching it back was when Luke said he ‘wouldn’t change for anyone’.
During the final episode, Relationship Expert Paul C. Brunson challenged Luke’s efforts towards Jay and told him he was ‘making excuses’ as to why the pair didn’t work out.
“When they was asking for change, change to me means ‘change who you are’.

“If they had said compromise or make adjustments, I would have said yes, I will.”
He continued: “If I change me, then Jay’s not going to be with me, she’s going to be with someone else.”
When talk turned to the inevitable topic of his feud with Jordan, Luke dropped the bombshell: “’And do I think things could have been different?’ I’ll be honest with you; I think if Jordan and Erica didn’t join MAFS, I actually think that me and Jay would still be together.”

Clearly shocked, Tasha chimed in: “So you’re saying they’re the reason your relationship didn’t work?”
To which Luke replies: “No… I was so occupied with the me and Jordan thing, I got lost with that.
“It’s not their fault, it’s me and Jordan. I was so occupied; we were so against each other that I kind of took my eyes off the prize.”
Luke also revealed that he had planned to ‘rekindle things [with Jay] at the reunion’, much to Ella’s surprise.
“I didn’t know that!” she said in shock.
So, where do Jay and Luke stand now, you might be wondering?
Although the final dinner party revealed the pair did continue to see each other after they were kicked off the show, both have shared online that they are no longer together.
Luke shared: “The thing about me and Jay is that we are really close. We support each other and we do talk at least once a week and we do voice note each other and make sure we’re ok. We do get on.”
In a video posted to her Instagram, Jay said: “Unfortunately it weren’t meant to be. I still adore him to pieces and we’re on really could terms. So please just bear in mind to be kind.”
Wise words from Jay as fans were quick to pull Luke up on his behaviour in the comments.
One fan said: “Luke ur obsessed with Jordan, you had no interest in Jay,” while another
simply said: “na jay deserved better.”
Regardless of whose side you might be on, we can certainly say this series of MAFS UK was an eventful one.
