Selling Sunset is coming back for fifth season sooner than you think and a brand new cast member has been announced, along with the release date.
The ever-expanding cast will be joined by Chelsea Lazkani, a British-Nigerian luxury realtor.
The mum-of-two teased her Netflix debut on Instagram by sharing the official poster for the new season. "The secret is OUT! I'm beyond thrilled to announce that I have joined the cast of @netflix Selling Sunset!"
She added: "So grateful for everyone involved, the list is long and you know who you are. The laughs, the lux, the drama, it's all there in season 5 and I can't wait for you all to see it"
Lazkani is a graduate of the University of Birmingham and the University of Dundee. She worked in the corporate world until 2017 when she obtained her real estate license and started working for Rodeo Realty, a group based in Los Angeles.
Lazkani revealed in an interview with People that she was "very familiar with Oppenheim Group" and knew Jason Oppenheim through her husband, Jeff Lazkani.
The couple have two children together: a three-year-old son named Maddox Ali Lavon and a two-year-old daughter, Melia Man.
"I think having the support of my husband and my family really essentially prepared me to take on this role and this opportunity," she told People.
Lazkani did not meet the Selling Sunset cast until she joined the show. She has said that being around successful women is a source of inspiration. "It kind of helps me see my future trajectory by being around so many successful women. It helps materialize the fact that I can be selling $20 million, $30 million, $40 million homes, seeing other women in close proximity to me doing it."
The Oppenheim Group OGs Jason and Brett Oppenheim, Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald, Amanza Smith will be back, along with season four newcomers Emma Hernan and Vanessa Villela.
Season four and season five were filmed back-to-back and when Christine sat down with Tyla last year, she teased details about the upcoming fifth season.
"I think you're going to be really, really thrilled [with the new cast members]." Christine said, adding that Lazkani, whose casting was still a secret at the time, is "fabulous".
"The dynamic of the show has changed a lot because there's so many people now," she said. "But I will say, Vanessa, and the other new girl, are fabulous."
Selling Sunset returns 22nd April on Netflix.
