A small social enterprise which helps tackle period poverty in the UK is taking its commitment to the next level by selling its eco-friendly products at Co-op stores nationwide.
Crafted from natural bamboo and corn fibre, Hey Girls' sanitary pads range is also chlorine and dioxin bleach free, with both the Overnight Sani pads and Menstrual Cups now available in store. Founded by Celia Hodson and her two daughters Kate and Becky, Hey Girls is a philanthropic business model designed to help girls and women in need around the UK. An idea inspired by Celia's own experiences of hardship as a single mum, it works on a 'buy one, give one' model, which means for every pack purchased, another is donated to someone who can't afford to buy sanitary products.
