When we head off to the office, or out for brunch with friends, it's always a sad moment when you have to leave your beloved pet at home.
While your dog whimpers at the door, your cat although acts nonchalant, punishes you later for the 'abandonment'.
But just a thought, you could take your pet with you, by getting their adorable face tattooed.
You cannot force your office manager nor restaurant managers to make their premises pet friendly, but by having a sketch of them permanently on you, you will never be without them - in spirit anyway.
We know what you're thinking, a huge dog plastered all over your leg with their name written in scroll script around it - not too fabulous. But, animal tattoos needn't be OTT, in fact there are some fabulous examples of classy tatts all over Instagram.
There are varying styles. Some have opted for a sketched look, hiring a tattoo artist to beautifully draw their beloved pet in major detail, complete with every wisp and whisker.
Others have chosen line drawings - a less is more approach that delivers a quirkier aesthetic.
Some have opted to have flowers worked into their tattoos and others have gone for a playful approach, choosing a cartoon-esque option.
Whichever style you choose, you'll be happy in the knowledge that your pooch, rabbit or feline will never leave your side.
But whilst that will appease you and your anxiety at being apart, what about your furry friend's?
Well, evidence shows music is an effective tool to keep animals relaxed and happy and luckily, Spotify has now created a playlist generator especially designed to cheer up lonely pets.
It's named the 'Pet Playlist' and it allows you to select what type of animal you have, then curates a playlist based on their personality type - you just need to rate your fur-baby as apathetic, curious, relaxed, shy or friendly on the sliding scale - and voila, a playlist is created.
So there you have it. A classy tat for you and a playlist for your pet. Separation anxiety = sorted.
