I'm A Celebrity 2021: Ant And Dec Explain Why Snoochie Is Allowed Her Earrings In The Castle

Ant and Dec have explained why Snoochie Shy is allowed to wear her hoop earrings during the show.

I'm A Celeb fans had been left confused as to why Snoochie was allowed to wear the jewellery, with many asking if it should have been confiscated.

However, Ant and Dec set the record straight during Thursday's episode, explaining the earrings were in fact allowed.

"Eagle-eyed viewers will have noticed Snoochie's earrings... did you see them?" Asked Dec.

Ant joked: "Yes, you couldn't miss them Declan!"

"We asked about this, apparently, the rule is... they can bring jewellery in, as long as it's not expensive or they don't have any sentimental value," said Dec.

"So, if you bought her those earrings... sorry and sorry!" Added Ant.

Viewers had previously wondered why the jewellery was allowed, with many questioning whether it should be considered a luxury item.

"I’m surprised Snoochie is allowed to wear her big hoop earrings, I would’ve thought they be classed as a luxury thing?" Said one.

While another asked: "Hey @antanddec how come #snoochie gets to wear earrings, surely that’s a luxury item?"

And a third said: "How is snoochie allowed to wear those hoop earrings in I’m a celeb?"

Others claimed the celebs were "getting away with more" this year, with some claiming Naughty Boy had been using hair gel.

"I can’t help but think they get away with more in the Castle, when compared to previous years in the Jungle," said one.

While another added: "Snoochie has earrings, Louise has a set of bracelets, Naughty Boy has hair gel… what happened to no luxury items??"

And one wrote: "Okay but has anyone noticed that naughty boy had gel in his hair and snoochie was wearing eyeliner and massive hoop earrings. swear they’ve never been allowed before."

During Wednesday evening's episode, Ant and Dec revealed the items the celebs had tried to smuggle back in to camp after the show had been off air for three nights due to Storm Arwen.

"So the celebs are all back in the castle... but that doesn't mean they didn't try it on getting back in there, what you didn't see was the contraband we caught them trying to smuggle in," said Dec, who produced a tray of the items, which included apples, fake tan and boiled sweets.

Ant joked: "Where did they try to smuggle them apples! This is genuine, this is what they tried to smuggle in.

"We've got boiled sweets here, Naughty Boy's brooch, breakfast biscuits - why? And of course, look, fake tan, a nail file and Vaseline."
