What Is It About That Blue Bikini On Love Island?

There's been no end of head-turning looks on Love Island this year. From Kaz Kamwi's colour-coordinated outfits to Millie Court’s Sagittarius necklace, it's fair to say the girls have been on form this season.

But I think we can all agree the true star of the summer has been that blue bikini.

You know the one - the two-piece that Faye Winter wore on the very first episode to announce her arrival into the villa. It arrived in a blaze of underboob glory and has slowly gained icon status in the weeks that followed.

Check out the moment below when we realised that Faye’s walk-in bikini was truly a scene stealer:

Firstly, if you want to nab one for yourself to really feel its powers, then all the components are available on Pretty Little Thing. It’s made up of both the “blue glitter cross front bikini top” for £12.00 and then the “blue glitter cheeky bikini bottoms” for £10 (obsessed with the word “cheeky” here).

There’s also a matching “blue glitter knot front beach skirt” for £15 if you want to complete the look.

But we still need to know, what is it about that blue bikini on Love Island?

Even though fans spotted that Islander Millie wearing the two piece during Monday's episode, the look has been undeniably associated with Faye's time in the villa.

Whenever Faye puts it on, she means business.

First, there was that dramatic entrance in episode one. Then there was the moment she announced she was ready to get her flirt on with new boy Sam. And last night we saw Millie trying it on herself.

It’s the same principal donning a bodycon dress for your first girls' night out after a big break-up. You are unapologetically announcing to the world that you know you look good.

And Love Island viewers have picked up on this on the power of the bikini, too.

One fan tweeted: “Anyone got a link for Faye's bikini ... the blue is obviously doing something”.

Another wrote: “I need to have as much faith in myself as Faye does in that blue bikini. Love it. Love the energy.”

One Love Island viewer pointed out that the swimwear represented a defining moment in the Villa: “Faye stuck that sexy blue bikini on and just started her hot girl summer tonight didn't she?!”

So, this blue bikini obviously has a hold on us. Although mainly because it reminds us of the outfits where the confidence radiates from you because you know you look good, making you look even better.
