In The Princess Switch 3: Romancing The Star, Hudgens plays not one, not two but three roles. The High School Musical star will don three personas once again; Queen Margaret, Princess Stacy and Margaret’s look-alike cousin Fiona.
The trio will come together to help track down a mysterious jewel thief. Fiona’s ex, Peter Maxwell (Remy Hii) is also on board to help them return to the stolen relic to safe hands.
Fiona was introduced in the second film, The Princess Switch: Switched Again, which debuted in 2020. Princess Switch: Switched Again followed on from the 2018 feel-good adventure.
All three snaps showcase Hudgens as her characters but fans will have to wait until November to see how the trio manage to take back the stolen relic.
The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star was written by Robin Bernheim burger and is directed by Mike Rohl. The film franchise is based on characters created by Burger and Megan Metzger.
On top of starring as three different characters, Hudgens also serves as a producer alongside Brad Krevoy.
You'll remember from the first movie that Stacy is married to Prince Edward, and Duchess Margaret is getting over her break-up with Kevin after their long distance relationship didn't work out.
Convinced the pair are destined to be together, Stacy goes to visit Margaret for her coronation - and takes Kevin along with her. Kevin and Margaret fall straight into old habits, but still haven't addressed why they broke up in the first place.
However, naturally things don't quite go to plan, when a handsome new royal steps on the scene and guns for Margaret.
Fiona's huge personality and troubled past caused some friction but the trio managed to make amends by the end of the flick – just in time to stop the jewel thief.
The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star drops 18th November.
