The documentary series is told through archival footage from the investigation in 1986.

In 1986, police were called to a home in Ein Karem, south of Jerusalem, where they found the bodies of Nissim Cohen and his wife Leah. They were both shot at point-blank range while they were sleeping in their beds.

Their teenage daughters, Anat and Shira and died from gunshot wounds upstairs in the same house.

The only other member of the family in the house, the 14-year-old boy whose name has never been revealed, became a suspect.

Avi Samuel, the youth investigator at the Jerusalem Police Department, quickly dismissed the cause of the murders as terrorism or burglary because none of the family's valuables were missing.

When Avi interviewed the 14-year-old boy, he quickly confessed although a motive has never been established.

True crime fans are already obsessed with the documentary series, with many Netflix viewers taking to Twitter to discuss the unusual case.
