Squid Game Fans Spot Major Plot Hole In Hwang Jun-ho Scene

Squid Game Fans Spot Major Plot Hole In Hwang Jun-ho Scene

Apart from the murderous tournament, obviously.

The world has lost its mind collectively over Squid Game, the smash-hit Korean language survival drama taking Netflix by storm.

The series, which follows a number of cash poor civilians take part in a series of murderous playground games in a bid to win millions of pounds, has topped the streaming service’s chart across the globe.

But some eagle-eyed viewers have spotted an “unrealistic” element of the show – apart from the whole ‘people-killing-each-other-for-millions-of-pounds’ sort of thing.

Watch the video below here.

Yep, fans of the show will know that Detective Hwang Jun-ho decides to sneak into the Game to investigate, after managing to infiltrate the tournament dressed as a guard. He is intrigued by the concept of the games when he is told by Seong Gi-hun, as his missing brother had previously received the same mysterious business card.

As he gets further into the inner-workings of the intricate tournament, Jun-ho decides to try and film everything he finds as evidence of the game and its shady goings-on.

But fans were left confused Jun-ho’s phone managed to last that long without running out of battery, particularly as we never see him discretely charging it.

After this TikTokker shared her theory, many took to the comments – with several divided over the issue.

“Omg, honestly, thought about this the whole way through,” one person wrote.

“For real, because the whole time I was thinking, if I were in that situation, should I turn my phone off to save battery or…?” a second viewer pondered.

“Bro, I literally thought about that while he put the phone up his sleeve,” a third added.

However, others argued this was perfectly plausible, as we only really see Jun-ho take notes on the phone and occasionally film or take pictures.

“I just let it slide, as he was barely on it,” one person said.

“It was only used to record/take notes,” a second person said. “I think it could deffo last that long.”

While a third added: “He just typed his lil notes once a day and then filmed the guy at the end, that’s it.”
